I never
met a craft material I didn't like. I was born in small town Indiana into
one of the craftiest homes I know. My family always nurtured my desire to
create and for that I'm grateful. From high school, I went on to graduate
from Purdue University with majors in Art Education and Fine Arts with a minor
in Art History. While there, I emphasized in Jewelry and Metalsmithing.
For the past few years I have been freelance designing for craft and hobby
publications. I truly have a passion for sharing my love of making fun and
clever objects with others. I specialize in creating accessible mixed
media jewelry and crafts with savvy design solutions and unique color
combinations. In 2007, I single authored Felted Jewelry (Lark).
Designer Needle Felting (Lark), which I
co-authored with Terry Taylor, will be released in October of
2007. You can find my column, The Savvy Crafter, in Simply Beads Magazine.

exhibited nationally and internationally. Currently, I live
in Shenzhen, China with my husband,
Butch and dog, Rocker. Most days, you can find me and Rocker working or
teaching classes over at my Birdcage Studio.
